McCourt Construction completed both phases of construction this September for site development in the proposed 4KV yard and structure demolition and replacement within the adjacent 23KV yard. Coordination of construction activities was paramount as sequenced work involving energized infrastructures and outages were required. McCourt’s Supervision and crew established a very comfortable working relationship with NGRID during their time on site.
McCourt Construction crew have built the new platform level head house. Which includes the new elevator machine room, as well as a new control booth for train operators and new elevator shaft.
McCourt Construction crews worked during a weekend shutdown of the red line and commuter rail to hand refurbished art work at Quincy Adams station. The Art work hangs 80FT above the station platform. Over 450FT of cabling was used to install the 3 pieces. .
