
McCourt Construction Teams Up with Celebrities for Katrina Relief
Event Raises a Whopping $650K.
Hull, Mass., October 5, 2005 – McCourt Construction Company has teamed with other leading New England companies and local celebrities to raise $650,000 toward a Red Cross hurricane relief fund. The fundraising culminated with a starstudded dinner organized by the Wahlberg family at Bridgeman’s Restaurant in Hull on Sunday, October 2nd.
In addition to attending the $1000 per plate dinner at Bridgeman’s, McCourt employees made individual contributions that were matched by the company. The October 4th edition of the Boston Globe reported that the dazzling event included actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, sports caster Sean McDonough, “construction kahuna Richard McCourt and his wife Ginger,” and Boston Celtics owner Steve Pagliuca.
