The Nashua Street Park is an elaborate two acre waterfront park constructed by McCourt Construction for MassDOT. The hardscape work included: dismantling a granite block seawall and reassembling it on precast footings; building intricate architectural granite walls, steps and paving; installing a spiraling granite steam release fountain; and building a wood dock.

Landscape improvements included “Pine & Swallow” soil treatment, dozens of new planting beds, mature tree plantings (>8” cal.), and tens of thousands of square feet of new sodded lawn.

Utility work included new lighting, drainage and water. This included a pipe buried within the contaminated bed of the Charles River.

This project opened the banks of the Charles River to recreational boaters and to the public in an area that had previously served as an overgrown, trash-strewn lot.
