GRANITE LINKS NAMED ONE OF TOP TEN BEST NEW UPSCALE GOLF COURSES IN THE COUNTRY

Quincy course lands at #8 on the prestigious Golf Digest list.

Quincy, Mass., February 1, 2005 – The January 2005 issue of Golf Digest lists Granite Links as one of the Top Ten Best New Upscale Public Golf Courses in the country. Granite Links is a private membership club that also offers a limited level of public access. The “links” style course was designed by John Sanford and constructed over the past seven years with fill from Boston’s Big Dig.

The 27-hole course was built by project partner and lead contractor McCourt Construction as part of the 450-acre Quarry Hills mixed-use development. The Quarry Hills project capped three landfills with over 13 million tons of Big Dig dirt to create a golf course, public ball fields, town homes, luxury apartments, as well as retail and restaurant space.
