In OUR COMMUNITY

McCourt Construction is committed to improving the communities in which we live and work. With a strong belief in making a positive impact, we have been actively involved in various charitable initiatives in and around Boston with an unwavering commitment to give back. With the help of our remarkable team members, we aim to empower the younger generation and contribute to the development of a stronger community.

We frequently donate equipment, materials, and personnel free of charge or below cost for community improvements. Recent projects include Habitat for Humanity in Whitman, MA, home expansion for impoverished children in Brockton, MA, building a grammar school playground in Hingham, MA, and building a church playground in North Andover, MA.

By dedicating time, expertise, and resources, McCourt Construction strives to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in Massachusetts.

Cleaning Our Cities

On May 14th, 1984, Richard McCourt was featured alongside Mayor Raymond Flynn on the front page of the Metro Section of the Boston Sunday Globe. McCourt Construction had partnered with laborers Local 223 and community residents to clean up several Boston neighborhoods. McCourt donated 8 dump trucks, 16 front-end loaders, and 12 pickups and encouraged its employees – from management to field laborers – to participate. Mayor Flynn praised the effort for showing “a commitment to the people in this neighborhood and to the people in this city.” A complete text of the article can be accessed here.

Since then, McCourt Construction has made a habit of supporting efforts to clean and maintain our urban areas. Recent examples include:

  • Cleaner Greener Quincy – Quincy, MA
  • Braintree Beautification Day – Braintree, MA
  • DCR Park Serve Day – Boston, MA

Recognizing Our Nation’s Heroes

McCourt recognizes and appreciates the contributions of our nation’s veterans. On several occasions, McCourt has organized volunteer personnel and labor and donated equipment and materials to erect memorials for these heroes. Prominent examples include the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorials in Cambridge, Somerville, and Dorchester, MA.
